Running multiple broker accounts on one VPS

3 min readUpdated July 2026

A single VPS can run multiple MetaTrader terminals at once, so you can trade several accounts or brokers in parallel. Each terminal is an independent copy.

How to set it up

  1. Install a second copy of MetaTrader into a different folder (each broker's installer offers a custom path).
  2. Alternatively, copy an existing MetaTrader folder to a new location and launch its terminal.exe.
  3. Log each terminal into a different account/broker server.
  4. Attach your EAs in each terminal as usual.

Sizing your VPS

Each terminal uses roughly 150–300 MB of RAM plus CPU for its EAs. As a rule of thumb, allow one vCPU per 2–3 active terminals and pick a plan with enough RAM. See our guide on choosing a plan.

Running low on resources? Upgrade your plan — your data and setup are preserved.
