Running multiple broker accounts on one VPS
3 min readUpdated July 2026
A single VPS can run multiple MetaTrader terminals at once, so you can trade several accounts or brokers in parallel. Each terminal is an independent copy.
How to set it up
- Install a second copy of MetaTrader into a different folder (each broker's installer offers a custom path).
- Alternatively, copy an existing MetaTrader folder to a new location and launch its terminal.exe.
- Log each terminal into a different account/broker server.
- Attach your EAs in each terminal as usual.
Sizing your VPS
Each terminal uses roughly 150–300 MB of RAM plus CPU for its EAs. As a rule of thumb, allow one vCPU per 2–3 active terminals and pick a plan with enough RAM. See our guide on choosing a plan.
