Keeping your EAs running 24/7 (Disconnect vs Sign out)

This is the number-one thing new VPS users get wrong. If you 'Sign out' of Windows, your programs — including MetaTrader and your EAs — stop. If you 'Disconnect', everything keeps running on the server.

Always disconnect

• Use the 'Disconnect' desktop shortcut we place on every VPS, or simply close the RDP window.
• Do NOT use Start → Sign out (or Log off) — that ends your session and stops MetaTrader.

Why it matters

Your EAs need MetaTrader to stay open to place and manage trades. Because the VPS runs 24/7 in our data center, a disconnected session keeps trading whether your laptop is on, off, or offline entirely.
